About Chesapeake Crab Connection
Chesapeake Crab Connection is a family owned seafood company that has been working the Maryland waters since 1990. It began along the shore of Annapolis and Kent Island, with Whitehall Bay and the Severn River as the prime spots for sinking pots and setting lines. What started with one boat and one fisherman has grown into a network of 8 docks and more than 80 boats, two local storefronts and a nationwide shipping operation. The business is now run by the Koenig family, still family owned and operated, with the aim of making high quality seafood easy to get anywhere in the country.
The catalog is built around Chesapeake blue crab: live heavy male crabs in small through extra large grades, live female crabs, soft shell crabs, fresh lump crab meat and half or full bushel feasts sized for a crowd. Around that core sits a broad seafood lineup that includes jumbo lump crab cakes, Alaskan red king crab legs, Canadian snow crab clusters, Dungeness crab, Maine and Caribbean lobster tails, wild caught Gulf shrimp, jumbo sea scallops, mussels, live clams, Northeastern oysters and fish filets such as red snapper, coho salmon, grouper, mahi mahi, tuna steak, cod, catfish and tilapia.
There is also a prepared and pantry side to the store: crab dip, crab and artichoke dip, lobster mac and cheese, flatbread pizzas, Maryland vegetable crab soup, Old Bay and house seafood seasonings, plus the picking tools that make a crab feast work, from mallets and claw crackers to shears, knives, bibs and crab paper. Because almost everything ships live or fresh, timing matters, so this page gathers the current Chesapeake Crab Connection promo codes and deals in one place, along with the shipping, returns and support details to check before you order.
How to Use a Chesapeake Crab Connection Promo Code
Applying a Chesapeake Crab Connection promo code only takes a minute at checkout:
- Pick a deal on this page, then head to ordercrabs.com and add your items to the cart.
- Open your cart, choose your delivery date on the checkout calendar and proceed to checkout.
- Paste the code into the discount box and apply it.
- Check that the total updated before you pay.
For offers marked 'Get Deal', no code is needed: the discount applies automatically through the link.
Promo Code Not Working? Try This
- Some offers are deals, not codes: 'Get Deal' offers apply automatically through the link, so there is nothing to paste.
- Check the exclusions: gift cards, VIP Crab Club memberships and shipping protection are often left out.
- Mind the minimum: some offers only kick in above a certain cart value, and shipping perks are tied to an order threshold.
- Make sure the cart matches the offer: if a code is tied to a specific bushel, bundle or dinner package, the exact package and quantity have to be selected.
- Copy the code cleanly, without extra spaces before or after it.
If a code still will not apply, it has probably expired. The offers on this page are rechecked regularly, so grab a fresh one here.
Chesapeake Crab Connection Savings Hacks
- Shipping is free once the order passes $300, so building one larger feast order beats splitting live crabs across several small deliveries that each carry an overnight charge.
- Picking a later delivery date on the checkout calendar can lower the shipping cost, which helps when you are ordering live crabs well ahead of a party.
- Frozen items such as crab legs, crab cakes, lobster tails and appetizers travel on cheaper standard service than live crabs, so a frozen heavy cart is the budget way to stock the freezer.
- Add the seasonings and picking tools, Old Bay, mallets, claw crackers, shears and crab paper, to the same order rather than buying them separately later, and watch this page for new codes before you check out.
Chesapeake Crab Connection Shipping Policy
Live blue crabs and fresh seafood ship by FedEx Priority Overnight or Next Day Air, and you choose your delivery date from the calendar at checkout. Live and fresh orders placed by 4PM Eastern ship the same day, while frozen crab legs, crab cakes, lobster tails and appetizers ship by standard air service within 1 to 4 business days. Saturday delivery is available in most areas, every box is packed with refrigerant for the trip, and free shipping applies on orders over $300.
